not on things on the earth.

appear, then shall ye also appear with
him in glory.

Baptism is symbolic of a person
1) dying to self,
2) being buried with Christ,
3) and being raised by Christ to a new
way of life.

In our Scripture above, "set your
affection on things above" means to
have a different mind-set than before
one met Christ.
In the word of an old song: "Poor
Wayfaring Stranger,"
"I am a poor wayfaring stranger
A-trav'ling through this land of woe.
And there's no sickness, toil or danger
In that bright world to which I go."
The best day in a policeman's life ends
with being able to go home!
The best we can do as Christians is
live with our FOCUS on going to that
"bright world" where "Christ sitteth on
the right hand of God."
Don't let the world get you UP-SET,
Keep the Lord's will as your MIND-SET!
