HI!
Two young boys were fishing from the river bank when
a game warden drove up.
One of the boys dropped his fishing rod and began to
run into the woods.
The game warden naturally pursued.
After a few moments, the boy stopped to catch his
breath and the game warden collared him.
He said, "I need to see your fishing license."
The boy pulled out his billfold and produced a valid license.
The game warden said, "Well, why did you run?"
The boy said, "My friend back there? He don't have one!"

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

LIGHT from the WORD.
The key to resisting the ole devil's temptations is
doing the "two-step."
The devil doesn't flee simply because he's resisted.
He flees only when we resist IN Christ!
So, the first part of the "two-step" is to step INTO Christ!
When we publicly own Jesus as Lord, we desire to please
Him more than ourselves.
Humbly, we recognize that we NEED His power in us.
And, look what God does when repent and turn to Him
for strength.

The second part of the "two-step" is to RESIST.
We do not resist temptation by arguing about it.
We simply refuse to commit action that is wrong.
Standing firm in Christ's presence and power, we "resist!"
And, His power, to Whom we surrender, ALWAYS refuses evil.
When facing temptation, do the "two-step"!
Step INTO Christ, then step AWAY from the devil!
Love ya!
