Christians are God's peculiar treasure!
The two words there show our SPECIAL
relationship to God.
They also exhibit the VALUE of our
relationship to Him.
And, they tell of the OWNERSHIP to God.
Kings usually had a peculiar treasure they
kept hidden.
It was their SAFEY NET in case they were
deposed.
That treasure would be enough to sustain
them if they had to run away.
Jesus GUARDS and KEEPS His treasure!
Christians have an OPEN DOOR to the
throne of God because of Jesus' sacrifice
on the cross.
We can pray to Him at ANY time.
God VALUES the relationship because He
WANTS Christians to talk to Him every day.
Christians are INDWELLED by God's Holy
Spirit, Who speaks to our heart where we
make decisions.
Jesus has made those who come to Him
as "kings and priests." (Rev. 1:6)
Christians have the privilege of telling others
about God, and also the privilege of praying
to God for other people.
So the question remains:
Are YOU God's PECULIAR TREASURE?
