THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
I have a friend with whom I used to play golf on Saturdays.
He was a Pentecostal preacher.
We always had fun "picking" at each other.
Once, on the way to a golf game, we stopped at a local store
for some Gatorade.
There was a young boy out front of the store trying to sell
some brand new puppies.
I looked at my friend, and asked the boy,
"What kind of puppies are those son?"
He said, "They're Baptist puppies, Sir."
My friend looked a little hurt.
Next Saturday, we happened to stop by the same store.
The same boy was there with the litter of puppies; but he
had sold a couple of them.
So, I asked again, "What kind of puppies are those?"
He said, "They're Pentecostal puppies, Sir."
My friend had a BIG grin!
Quickly, I said, "But last week you told me they were
Baptist puppies!"
He said, "Yes, Sir. But yesterday they got their
eyes opened!"

Light from the Word.
Through Christ, and Him alone, mankind may receive atonement -
payment made for offenses of sin.
Through Jesus' payment of blood, we can be redeemed from the
"law of sin and death." (Rom. 6:23)
Through Jesus, we can be cleansed.
For the blood of Christ "cleanseth us from all sin."
1John 1:7
Through Jesus, we can be sanctified.
Only through Him can we be set aside by God for honorable service.
Hebrews 10:10
And, through Jesus, we can be preserved.
For His blood and Spirit preserves us "blameless unto the coming of
our Lord Jesus Christ." (1Thess. 5:23)
Are your eyes opened to what Jesus has done and will do for you?
Live in the joy of His accomplishment!
Love ya!
