DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"BY and THROUGH"

In the 1950's, we had a well behind our
house.
It was my job to pull buckets of water
from the well so we could wash dishes,
take baths, etc.

So, the water came BY the well, but
THROUGH work.

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Eph. 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

_______THOUGHT______________

Grace is how we are saved from condemnation.
Faith is the continuing work of God IN us.
Faith is also how WE work with God.

Like the water in the well, grace PROVIDES
our knowledge that God WANTS us to be
saved.

Then, God, THROUGH faith, continues to work
IN us with His Spirit.

And, because His Spirit is IN us, we DESIRE
to work WITH Him and continue to live as
HE desires.

"For it is God that worketh IN you both to
will (decide), and to DO (perform) of His good
pleasure." (Philippians 2:13)

So, if the world, has given you MOUNTAINS
of problems;
REMEMBER, God has given you a SHOVEL
called FAITH in Him!

Draw "living waters" from the well of Christ
each day and USE it as you live.
