DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"CONTINUED FAITHFULNESS"

"In reality, salvation was bought
not by Jesus' fist; but by His
nail-pierced hands; not by
force but by sacrifice!"
(A. W. Tozer)

____SCRIPTURE____

Gal 3:6
Even as Abraham believed
God, and it was counted to
him for righteousness.
KJV

____THOUGHT______

In Gen. 15:6, the Bible says,
"And he (Abraham) BELIEVED
in the LORD; and HE counted
it to HIM for righteousness."

That word "believed" is taken
from the Hebrew 'aman, and
means CONTINUED
FAITHFULNESS.

God told Abraham to cut
animals in pieces, and God
would make a covenant
with him.

Abraham did that, and even
fought off cornivorous birds.
But, then he became tired,
and fell asleep.

THEN, God came and since
Abraham was in a trance,
God performed the covenant
with HIMSELF for Abraham's
benefit!

That, to me, proves the point
Jonah made when he said,
"...salvation is OF the LORD!"
(Jonah 2:9)

Jesus made the covenant of
salvation for WHOSOEVER
when He died on the cross
defeating sin, hell and the
grave for you and me.

So, let us be BELIEVING -
be faithful of long
CONTINUANCE!

Love ya!
