DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"CONTINUING to EXHIBIT"

My mother had a very good understanding of
English Grammar.

Once she told me, "Son, go take out the trash."
I was studying, and thought it would be ok later.
So, I said, "I shall, Mom ... in a little while."

She came to the table and said, "No, Son.
You SHALL do it NOW and EVERY night after
supper!"

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Luke 12:8-9
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess
me before men, him shall the Son of man also
confess before the angels of God:
9 But he that denieth me before men shall be
denied before the angels of God.
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

CONFESS/DENY are two OPPOSITES.
EACH word expresses determination of
intentional future expectations.

SHALL CONFESS indicates a determination
to CONTINUE in expressing.
DENY indicates a determination to NOT
continue in expressing.

Jesus is stating, here, that confession of
Him is a continual act!
The reason Jesus says that is because
when one TRULY surrenders to Jesus as
Lord of his/her life, he/she is SEALED in
the Holy Spirit of God.

Eph. 1:13 says, "In Whom (Jesus) ye also trusted,
after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel
of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye
BELIEVED, ye were SEALED with that Holy
Spirit of promise...."

The word "believed" is translated from the
Greek pisteuo, which means to have committed
trust.

And, once sealed, then the person will
CONTINUE in owning Jesus as Lord;
BECAUSE Jesus CONTINUES in
owning them by His Spirit.

Have you committed trust in Jesus?
Are you exhibiting in your life that you are
sealed in His Spirit?

Love ya!
