Today's Devotion:
"Do NOT LIE DOWN"
A man was on a plane and very
deep in thought, gazing out the
window and pondering over the
glories of the doctrines of grace,
the beauty of God's creation,
and his deep, personal
convictions about baptism.
His thought was broken when the
stewardess came with the meal
tray and she asked, "Sir, are you
a vegetarian?"
The suddenness of the change
in thought pattern caused him
to say, "No. I'm Baptist."
____SCRIPTURE____
Rom. 8:31
31 What shall we then say to these
things? If God be for us, who can
be against us?
KJV
____THOUGHT______
ALWAYS look for what God is
allowing you to LEARN through
difficult times!
Tomorrow begins "early voting"
for the midterm elections.
I was thinking about the last
time that happened, and WHY
the "Blue" had big wins.
The LESSON I learned was
that too many Christians were
LAX and APATHETIC about
getting out to VOTE!
Did you know that Christians
actually have a MAJORITY
in the voting booth?
If every Christian actually
exercised the right of voting
in EACH election, they would
ALWAYS win!
If one lies down on a railroad
track, sooner or later, he's
gonna be RUN OVER!
God is FOR us so much that
He came in flesh to DIE for
our sin!
And, it is a GOD-GIVEN right
to go VOTE!
But, if we LIE DOWN and
don't go VOTE, we're gonna
be RUN OVER!
If we TAKE God's "for us"
and vote, the immoral CANNOT
win over the moral!!
Love ya!
