Today's Devotion:
"EXHIBITING LOVE"
Mom and her 4-year-old son had been in
town all morning.
So they stopped for lunch.
When the boy was finished with his lunch,
he took his paper stuff to the garbage.
He stood looking at the garbage can for
a moment or two.
When he returned, he said, "Mom. I know
how to spell garbage - it's PUSH!"
Some people nearby giggled at his
innocence.
Mom said, "Honey, do you know what
LOVE spells?"
He said, "No Ma'am."
She gave him a big hug, and said,
"THAT'S what love spells, it's how I feel
about you!"

Rom 5:6-8
6 For when we were yet without strength,
in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die:
yet peradventure for a good man some would
even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in
that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Sometimes, ACTION spells caring and love!
God "commendeth," or EXHIBITED,
His love for us at the cross of Calvary!
When we were "dead in trespasses and
sins," God DEMONSTRATED His love,
mercy and grace!
He came into the world in the Person of Christ,
to die and make the perfect sacrifice for our sins!
God's love is a GIVING love through which we
might obtain BENEFIT!
"For God so LOVED the world, that He GAVE His
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
Him should not perish, but have everlasting life!"
(John 3:16)
Mom, in the story above, showed her son that love
is MORE than all the giggles others may make about
His innocence.
God's love is MORE than all the snide remarks the
world may make about being a Christian.
We can SHOW our love for God daily by living
according to His will in His Word; AND, by
sharing Jesus with others.
