Today's Devotion:
"EXPECTATIONS"
Harry found a grandfather clock marked
25% off.
It was exactly what he wanted, so he paid
for it and had it delivered the next day.
When it was delivered he set it up in a
prominent place in the living room.
You can imagine Harry’s surprise when he
discovered that it ran slow!
No matter how he adjusted it, the clock lost
15 minutes every hour.
Returning to the clock store, Harry complained
to the manager "The grandfather clock I bought
loses 15 minutes every hour."
The clerk replied, "Well, what did you EXPECT?
It was clearly marked 25% off!"

Ps 62:5
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my
expectation is from him.

__________THOUGHT__________
Life can be difficult.
EXPECTATIONS from it are not always met.
Looking to the world to meet our goals, we
might be disappointed.
Physically, we can have expectations of:
*Attending school when we are 5;
*Drive when we are 15;
*Graduate high school at 17 or 18;
*Attend and graduate college;
*Find a good job, and;
*Hopefully, reach retirement.
But, THEN WHAT?
If we look to Jesus to fulfill our expectations,
we have HOPE!
In Christ we may constantly draw on the
"bank of faith."
In Christ we may see our needs met by God's
lovingkindness.
In Christ we may have expectations completely
beyond this world!
Christ offers ETERNAL LIFE with Him in a
place called heaven!
Keep looking to JESUS!
Love ya!
