Light from the Word.
The "yoke" was a symbol of a student.
And, it still is used at graduations today.
That yoke indicated the student was a follower, or disciple of the teacher.
A disciple is a willing student.
When a person surrenders to Jesus, then He causes them to be "born again."
And, we are BORN TO GROW IN JESUS!
There are MANY MORE lessons to learn as a new Christian!
LEARN and GROW!
Study the Bible to learn and grow in Jesus.
Study the Bible to learn to pray.
Study the Bible to learn to give.
Study the Bible to learn to share Jesus with others.
Study the Bible to learn to teach.
The word "rest" is derived from the Greek anapausis and literally means rest - or reclining upon,
and figuratively means relying upon.
The only way you can learn to rely upon Jesus is to
LEARN of Him!
If you are "born again," you are BORN TO GROW IN JESUS!
Don't be spoon-fed: STUDY!
