DAILY DEVOTION

HI!

Tom and Jane were visiting with Bill and Mary.
The husbands went out on the porch.

Jane and Mary stayed in the kitchen and were
talking.

Jane looked troubled, so Mary said, "You know,
Bill and I went to a marriage counselor."

Jane said, "Well, we'll never have to do that. Tom
graduated in business communication, and I in
fine arts. When he talks, I ACT like I'm listening!"

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord,
so walk ye in him:

LIGHT from the WORD.

That word "walk" is derived from the Greek word
peripateo.
It means to continue moving, to LIVE.

To me, this implies three things.

1) ACTION
When the body moves in walking, ENERGY is expelled.
The energy of Christ should move our lives!

2) PROGRESS
The energy of Christ should provide progressive GROWTH
in Christ Jesus.

3) CONTINUING
To walk a mile does not mean stop at 200 feet.
Jesus is continuing energy!

Notice the term "walk ye in Him."
It is present perfect tense.
That mean NOW, and ALWAYS!

Having "received" Christ you have received
eternal energy!

Are you acting, progressing and continuing
in that WALK?
