DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"Integrity Exhibited"

A long time ago, there was a widow with four children.
She raised corn and made her own corn meal.

The local grocer would swap her corn meal for sugar.
One day she sent her daughter to town one day to get
some sugar, and sent 10 lbs. of corn meal to swap.

The grocer weighed the corn meal and said it was
only 9 lbs.
The daughter said, "Well, that's interesting. Mom
weighed up that corn meal by the 10 lbs. of sugar you
gave her last week!"

_______SCRIPTURE___________

Prov. 11:1-3
1 A false balance is abomination to the LORD:
but a just weight is his delight.
2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame:
but with the lowly is wisdom.
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them:
but the perverseness of transgressors shall
destroy them.
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

Shady deals are an "abomination" to God; but He
favors those who deal righteously.

The Bible teaches us that "God resisteth the proud,
but giveth grace to the humble"
(James 4:6, 1Peter 5:5).

If God resists the proud, it's a small wonder that the
result is SHAME!

To live by godly principals is the guide to eternal life.
To live perversely is the guide to eternal destruction.

Micah 6:8 says,
"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what
doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to
love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

Let us live "justly."
Let us love "mercy."
Let us live "humbly."

Integrity is character displayed in action.

Love ya!
