John 8:30-32
30 As he spake these words, many believed
on him.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which
believed on him, If ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free.

_______THOUGHT______________
The manner in which Jesus spoke caused many
to believe that He was indeed the Messiah.
So, he turned to those who believed and made a
statement.
This statement encompasses a very foundational
point about being saved.
The statement is: "IF ye CONTINUE in my Word,
THEN are ye my disciples indeed."
The fact is: if a person is truly saved, they WILL
"continue" in God's Word!!
The tree is known by its fruit!
Fruit trees are known by the fruit they bear.
A Christian is known by the fruit of contiuing to
learn from God's written Word.
When a person is truly saved, God's Holy Spirit
continually works IN that person to DESIRE and
to PERFORM the will of God in his/her life.
