"LIGHT and SHIELD"
One night some vandals cut down six royal palms
along Miami's Flagler Street.
Since the palms are very expensive, Dade County
authorities weren't sure if they could replace them
right away.
But then, someone DONATED the six palms!
The old palms had been about 15 feet tall and
provided a nice foreground for a "FLY DELTA"
billboard.
The new palms were 35 feet tall - completely
hiding the sign!
The new palms were donated by another airline
company!

Ps 84:11-12
11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield:
the LORD will give grace and glory:
no good thing will he withhold from them that walk
uprightly.
12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that
trusteth in thee.

Notice those words "sun" and "shield."
God is both LIGHT and PROTECTION to those who
are continually in His service and ministry.
The person who "trusteth" in God receives both
understanding and protection!
And, "no good thing" is withheld from that person!
Careful now!
The "good" things are not necessarily PHYSICAL!
They are SPIRITUAL!
There is nothing better in life than to show someone
else the way to Christ!
There is nothing better in life than to help someone
be renewed in their faith!
It is better to hold the hand of someone who is
hurting than to have all the positions of society!
How about it?
Is God giving you the LIGHT, or understanding, of
those GOOD THINGS?
If He is doing that, He is also HIDING or SHIELDING
from the evil things of the world.
Yes, God gives "grace AND glory" to all men.
And, those who "trust" in Him are ESPECIALLY blessed!
