Today's Devotion:
"LIMITED WARRANTY"
God has given each of us a
limited warranty on heart
beats.
And, NONE of us know
when it expires!
____SCRIPTURE____
Col. 3:1-2
1 If ye then be risen with Christ,
seek those things which are
above, where Christ sitteth on
the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things
above, not on things on the earth.
KJV
____THOUGHT______
In Eph. 2:1, the Scripture says
"And you hath He quickened,
who were dead in trespasses
and sins;".
The Christian has been MADE
ALIVE from the deadness of a
sinful life.
The symbol of baptism suffices
to exhibit this.
The Christian has DIED to SELF,
been BURIED WITH Christ, and
has been RAISED up by Christ
to WALK in a NEW way of life.
Of course, we ALL FAIL!
(Rom. 3:23)
That is why the Scripture says
"SEEK" things above and
"SET your AFFECTIONS on
things above!
As Christians, our thoughts
and desires should be
channelled toward allegiance
to, and work for Christ.
That does not mean we are not
to also have focus on family,
and jobs.
It simply means that our
PRIMARY focus is on
obedience to our Lord and
everything else is 2nd in
priority!
It is much easier to observe
a FORM of Christianity and
"deny the POWER thereof!"
(2Tim. 3:5)
Let the Spirit of God have
controlling influence on
your HEART!
Show concern for your
Love ya!
