Today's Devotion:
"Merry CHRISTmas!"
When they were young, our children seemed
to always sleep late on Christmas Day.
They were excited Christmas Eve, but the next
morning they would keep sleeping if we didn't
wake them.
So Ann had a bright idea.
She had a bell someone had given her for
Christmas.
Early on Christmas morning, she would run into
the children's bedrooms, jump on their bed and
ring the bell.
All the while she was shouting,
"Santa has come! Santa has come!"
Ann did that all the years our children were home.
It became a tradition.
We were a little crazy with it.
But we always reminded them of what the
day of Christmas really meant.

Gal. 4:1-5
1 Now I say, as long as the heir is a child, he
does not differ at all from a slave although he is
owner of everything,
2 but he is under guardians and managers until
the date set by the father.
3 So also we, while we were children, were held
in bondage under the elemental things of the world.
4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent
forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,
5 so that He might redeem those who were under the
Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
NASB
_______THOUGHT______________
There's a little of a child in ALL of us.
But once, God tended to people as they were
children.
He came Himself to bring us into an age of
repentance, from our childlike manners.
He also came to bring us JOY and HOPE.
The joy is knowing He loves us, and has a
plan to bring us out of the world of dirt, and
place us in a spiritual realm of eternal bliss.
The hope is secured in this person we call
Jesus, the Christ of God.
He is the body of God, and lived as we live;
but in grace and kindness.
This is the day when we celebrate His
entrance into the world, and offer mankind
eternal forgiveness the moment we surrender
to His guardianship.
Jesus is:
the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR,
the MIGHTY GOD,
the EVERLASTING FATHER,
the PRINCE of PEACE!
Celebrate Him today.
Be a little crazy with it!
Honor Him with thanksgiving.
Speak of Him in your family gatherings.
Remind others of what the day of
CHRISTmas really means.
Love ya!
