DAILY DEVOTION

HI!

A lady went to the tombstone-cutter’s office.

She said she wanted to order a small tombstone
for her husband who had just died.
"Please make it simple, only one inscription:
'To My Husband' - in a suitable place."

When the tombstone arrived, she looked at it with horror.
On the tombstone was engraved,
“To my husband, in a suitable place.”!!

LIGHT from the WORD.

Part of having physical life includes facing physical death!

Life is BRIEF and UNCERTAIN!
Death can happen at ANY MOMENT!

But we don't HAVE to FEAR death!!

Jesus’ death destroyed the devil! (vs 14 above)
Jesus’ death sent a crushing blow to the devil’s head! (See Gen. 3:15)

Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection brought DELIVERY
(salvation) to all who are in bondage to sin, which is the
cause of death! (vs 15 above)

For the Christian, death only brings INSTANTANEOUS DELIVERY
from this life of sin, sickness, turmoil and sorrow.
That delivery takes us IMMEDIATELY into the hands of Him
Who gives us ETERNAL joy, peace and happiness!

The way to face death positively is through faith in Christ!

You need not FEAR death!
Be READY!
