Today's Devotion:
"PRAY WITHOUT CEASSING"
Little Joey, 5 years old, had
wandered into the pastor's
office.
He was incessantly talking.
Finally, in a kind attempt to get
Joey to leave the pastor said,
"Joey, it's time for me to pray."
Joey just kept on talking.
He said, "My Mom prays about
everything all day."
The pastor asked, "What do you
mean?"
Joey said, "Well, in the morning
she says, 'Thank you Jesus it's
time for school.'
In the afternoon, she says, 'Help
me Jesus.'
And, in the evening she says,
'Thank you Jesus it's bedtime!'"

_______THOUGHT_________
When Jesus was about to choose
the 12 apostles, the Bible says He
"..went out to a mountainside and
spent the night praying" (Luke 6:12).
When He was facing the illegal
night trial and crucifixion Jesus
prayed so long and so intensely
that "His sweat was like drops of
blood falling to the ground."
(Luke 22:44).
If Jesus, Who is God in flesh,
needed prayer so much, how
much MORE do we?
Prayer is awareness of God's
closeness.
To "Pray without ceasing" is to
maintain a constant conversation
with God in our hearts.
Doing this, we are continually
reminded of God's closeness.
Thus, we are better able to face
each and every difficulty in life!
Jesus said, "...pray, that ye enter
not into temptation."
(Matthew 26:41, Luke 22:40)
Prayer, then, being a reminder of
God’s closeness, is also a
deterrent to doing wrong.
Pray!
"Pray without ceasing!"
Be in a ATTITUDE of prayer
ALL DAY!
Be aware of God's closeness.
And, you will be more enabled to
do HIS will.
Love ya!
