Today's Devotion:
"REAL VALUE"
Our country is Immanuel's land,
our hope is above the sky,
and therefore, calm as the
summer's ocean; we will see
the wreck of everything
earth-born, and yet rejoice
in the God of our salvation.
— Charles Haddon Spurgeon
____SCRIPTURE____
John 11:35
35 Jesus wept.
KJV
____THOUGHT______
This, the shortest verse in the
Bible, teaches tremendous
lessons.
Jesus wept with the people
who were weeping because
of the death of Lazarus.
Jesus wept with deep
compassion for what sin
DOES to people!
Jesus' love for ALL mankind
is the SAME today!
He is compassionate for the
grief people feel at the death
of someone they love.
He is compassionate for the
consequences unbelieving
people will pay for their sin.
The "wages" of sin is death!
But the compassion of God
offers salvation through
Jesus Christ. (Rom. 6:23)
It is because of God's love
for mankind that Jesus died
on the cross. (Rom. 5:8)
And, as man dies because
of sin, so do NATIONS!
When will we realize that
without Jesus we can
accomplish NOTHING
of REAL VALUE!
Love ya!
