"STRENGTH and PEACE"
A great thunderstorm came quickly over
the home.
There was lots of lightning and thunder.
Mom went upstairs to see if her son was
afraid.
He was standing by the window with his
hands raised, saying "BANG IT AGAIN,
LORD! BANG IT AGAIN!"

Ps. 29:10-11
10 The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the
LORD sitteth King for ever.
11 The LORD will give strength unto His
people; the LORD will bless His people with
peace.

_______THOUGHT______________
The LORD sits ABOVE the storm, never
affected by the intense lightning and thunder.
And, yes, some storms can cause terrific
damage.
But, when the storm passes, we have
ENDURED, and there is PEACE.
A physical storm can bring fear; or,
it can teach us the power and glory of God.
A spiritual storm can bring fear; or,
it can teach us that God can and will give
strength to endure.
He will also cause the result of enduring
the storm to give us peace.
We all experience spiritual storms:
*the loss of a person we love,
*a terrible accident,
*cancer or other dreaded diseases.
It is when we praise God IN the storms
of life that we learn:
*He gives us strength to endure,
*And peace floods our hearts!
One of my favorite songs is "Till The Storm
Passes By" sung by the Gaither Vocal
Band.
The chorus is beautiful.
"Till the storm passes over, till the thunder
sounds no more
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of
Thy hand
Keep me safe till the storm passes by."
