Being retired is trying to discern
how you ever had time to WORK!

Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

The Greek word for "study" is
spoudazo.
It means to give diligence, or
endeavour.
People who go to church and
never give diligence to studying
the Bible are kinda like mixing
holy water with castor oil.
All you get is a
religious movement.
God promised that His Holy
Spirit would "teach" His Word.
(John 14:26)
To endeavor is to give a
concerted EFFORT!
In order to "rightly divide" the
Word of God, we must study
EXPECTING His Holy Spirit
to TEACH!
A plumber will be ashamed of
his pipe-cutter if he doesn't
LEARN how to USE it!
And that is why most people
who call themselves
Christians, never attempt
to lead someone else to
Jesus!
How can we ever expect to
tell someone what God
TEACHES if we never
STUDY what He SAYS!
Make the concerted effort
to LEARN, THEN you can
"rightly divide" - or SHARE!
