"The ANNOUNCEMENT Part III"
My grandmother, Ada Fisher McGee, was a
Bible student.
She had prophetic thoughts of my dad. whom
she named Julian Burton.
Julian for "sky father," and Burton for conqueror.
Dad became a USAF pilot, and won the
Distinguished Flying Cross.
Now, my first name was from my mother's
family, Bruce.
I don't know what Dad was thinking when he
added the second name, Donald.
Bruce means from the willow lands, or
thickets or woods.
Donald means ruler.
And, yes, I live in 24 acres of woods!

Matt. 1:18-23
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:
When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph,
before they came together, she was found with child
of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and
not willing to make her a public example, was minded
to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the
angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying,
Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee
Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the
Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his
name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which
was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth
a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with us.

_______THOUGHT______________
The name Jesus (Greek: Iesous) has Hebrew origin,
coming from the name Jehoshua (Hebrew: Yehowshuwa,
pronounced Yehhoshu'ah).
The meaning of that word is "the LORD is salvation!"
The Lord (Jehovah God) had said through the prophet
Isaiah, "I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is
NO Savior!" (Is. 43:11)
In the text above (vs 21) THE pre-incarnate Christ tells
Joseph to name the child Jesus.
And in vs 23, there is the reference to another statement
by Isaiah which came from God: "...call His name
IMMANUEL." (Is. 7:14)
Putting those thoughts together, one can realize that
the prophetic statements mean that the child from
Mary is the: miracle working, God of eternity!
He is the ONLY ONE Who can bring salvation to sinful man!
God's miraculous creation of the universe had taken
many steps before His entrance to bring saving grace
to man.
He created LIGHT - or understanding; the REVELATION
of Himself.
He prophetically announced His entrance for many years.
Here, in our text above, God brings Joseph to understand
that THIS child is the Holy God come to be present with
mankind.
He would be in flesh, but still be HOLY GOD among us!
The FIRST present of CHRISTmas is:
HIS PRESENCE!
