Jesus means "God is salvation,"
God, the answer to my desperation.
Jesus, Son and Image of the Living God,
Came to save from paths of sin we trod.
The One Who conquers my life depraved,
Jesus, the God-man, by which we MUST be saved.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and
bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

_______THOUGHT______________
In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy with
John the Baptist, the angel Gabriel appeared
to a virgin named Mary.
The appearance startled this young lady!
But the ANNOUNCEMENT startled her MORE!
Paraphrased Gabriel said, "You will conceive
and have a son..."
Mary was engaged to Joseph, but had never
had intimate relations with any man.
She thought, How could this happen?
Gabriel told her that the Spirit of the Living God
would create that miracle in her womb.
Further, Gabriel said she would name the child
JESUS.
Jesus, in the Greek is Iesous, and in the Hebrew
it is Yehoshua' .
Both mean Yahweh (God) is salvation.
Mary, being a devout "handmaiden of the LORD,"
KNEW what that name meant!
No wonder she was quite startled!
The self-existent, pre-history existent God would
be born of her!
Gabriel also told Mary that her cousin Elizabeth
would have a child.
And, Mary went to see Elizabeth.
When she entered the house, the baby (John the
Baptist) "lept" in Elizabeth's womb.
And, this is a very INTERESTING thought:
The FIRST person to recognize Jesus as LORD
was a FETUS!
Have YOU realized that Jesus is God INCARNATE?
