Hebrews 11:1 says,
Now faith is the substance of things
hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen.

Eph 1:12-14
12 That we should be to the praise of
his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that
ye heard the word of truth, the gospel
of your salvation: in whom also after
that ye believed, ye were sealed with
that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheri-
tance until the redemption of the pur-
chased possession, unto the praise of
his glory.

Look at verse 13 of the Scripture used
from Ephesians.
When we trust in Christ, yielding our
self to him as Lord, we are then SEALED
in God's Holy Spirit.
That sealing is the down-payment until
the redemption of our body.
Now look at the first Scripture from
Hebrews 11.
The first gift of God's Holy Spirit is
FAITH.
Faith is both substance and evidence.
When we receive faith, it is substance
because, by it, we are able to CLING
to our trust in Christ - even when life
becomes tragic and overwhelming.
Also, faith becomes evidence to others
that we LIVE by trusting Christ in ALL
circumstances.
With faith, we have, possess and use
down-payment of our eternal inheri-
tance.
One can use faith to CLING to Christ
when anxious, worried, or tempted.
One can use faith to LET GO and LET
God when overcome or totally distraught.
One can also us faith to pray, study the
Bible and GROW as a Christian.
Do you HAVE faith in Christ?
It only comes by surrendering to Him as
LORD of your life.
If you HAVE faith, are you LIVING to the
praise of His glory?
Remember, He has SEALED you in His
Holy Spirit.
