"The PICKLING Effect"
HI!
Police pulled a man over at 1:00am for
driving erratically.
Policeman: Sir, where are you going?
Driver: Actually, I am headed for a lecture on
alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the
human body.
Policeman: And where would you find a lecture
like that at 1:00am?
Driver: Home! My wife gives em!

To some people, alcoholic beverages look
good.
Looking around at others, they even seem like
there is fun in the consumption.
Like other drugs, after consumption, there is a
"feeling" that might be pleasing.
But make no mistake, alcoholic beverages do
great damage to the body, and to self-control!
It has been proven that regular consumption
of alcoholic beverages has a PICKLING
effect on the brain!
It actually causes the brain cells to SHRINK,
thus requiring more time to think and act!
Brain cells work on electric impulse traveling
from one cell to another.
When those cells shrink, it reduces the speed
with which electric impulses can travel
That's why, when a person is inebriated, their
response time is SLOW!
For instance, the response time for the foot
to move from the accelerator to the brake
pedal is reduced by ONE-FIFTH with the
consumption of only TWO beers!!
That reduces the time a driver can stop
the vehicle significantly!
One more item: over a period of time,
continued alcohol consumption will actually
KEEP the brain cells reduced in size.
That's why a continued alcoholic cannot
respond quickly and why they cannot
think properly.
The more science studies the chemical
action and reaction of alcohol, the more
proof is given that God is ALWAYS right!
Don't be drawn to the seemingly feel-good
feeling of alcohol.
The effect of it causes brain damage!
