DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"To WAIT UPON the LORD"

Last night we went to a very busy
restaurant.
Our waitress was very busy serving the
eight tables she was assigned.
Always smiling, and running almost
every step.
Her task reminded me of the following
Scripture.

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Is. 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall
renew their strength; they shall mount up
with wings as eagles; they shall run and
not be weary; and they shall walk and not
faint.
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

God desires to make the weak strong.
And, He will give strength so that our
lives may be filled with energy.
What is the CONDITION for God to give
that strength?
That they "wait upon the LORD."

Now, most people read that and see the
word "wait" as to mean pray, then wait
and see what God will do.

But the word "wait" is transcribed from
the Hebrew Qavah (pronounced qaw vaw).
That word means to be intertwined with
God in HIS work.

> It is similar to using several pieces of twine
to make a rope.
The single pieces will break under pressure.
But when put together they are MUCH
stronger.

Therefore, we need to be INVOLVED with
God in HIS work!

If we "wait upon the LORD," or, determine
to be INVOLVED with His work, we will be
more ABLE to do it.

Love ya!
