DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"Tug of War Illustration"

When I was a young boy, the Royal Ambassadors
(RA) was a group in our church.
We did Bible study, and had counselors who
taught us the meaning of Scriptures.

Once we had a "Tug of War" game which
illustrated the verse below.

The "Tug of War" was one group of boys holding
a rope on one side of the line, whille a group of
boys held a rope on the other side of the line.
We all pulled in an effort to draw the other side
over the line.

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Matt. 12:30
He that is not with me is against me; and he that
gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

In this world there is a war going on between
Christ and the devil.
If one is not "pulling" for Christ, he/she is pulling
for the devil!

Jesus drew that line in the sand of time and
space.
There is no room for "fence riding" in God's
Kingdom!

If a person is not working FOR Christ, that
person is ACTIVELY working AGAINST Christ!

We know from Scripture that Jesus ALREADY
won the war.
But the ole devil is like a snake which has had
his head severed from his body.
That body is still wiggling trying to drag anyone
he can into destruction with him.

Jesus was crucified, put in a tomb; but he rose
from that grave.
Then He "ascended up on high" and "gave gifts
to men."

Those gifts are to be USED: used in PULLING
people over the line to salvation.
(See Ps. 68:18 and Eph. 4:8 and Eph. 4:11)

Are you actively pulling FOR or AGAINST
Christ?

Love ya!
