Today's Devotion:
"WHAT is YOUR EXPECTATION"
Ps. 62:5
My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from Him.
KJV
____SCRIPTURE____
Ps 62:1-2
1 To the chief Musician, to
Je-du'-thun, A Psalm of David.
Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation.
2 He only is my rock and my
salvation; he is my defence; I
shall not be greatly moved.
KJV
____THOUGHT______
Salvation can only be found in
ONE Person -- God!
Jesus said that was HIM!
(John 8:35 & John14:6)
Thomas fell down when he saw
Jesus resurrected and said,
"My LORD and my GOD!"
(John 20:28)
God ALONE holds salvation in
His hand, and OFFERS it to
ANY person who will "wait"
on God. (John 3:16)
That word "wait" is derived from
the Hebrew, dawman, which
means to be astonished and
quiet oneself.
We should instruct our minds
and hearts to WAIT or be
QUIETED with the realization
that we will receive ETERNAL
life by surrender to Christ.
Also, He becomes our "defence!"
(Just ask me...I can tell you
some STORIES!)
And, when we stand before God
in the final judgment, He will be
our TOTAL defense!!
Let us indeed be QUIETED
with the thought of His Holy
PROMISE!!
Jesus holds the "expectation,"
the thing we LONG for.....
ETERNAL FULLNESS IN
HIM!
Love ya!
