"WHOSE and WHY We ARE"
I remember an English teacher in our high School
teaching us about being a PART of the WHOLE.
She quoted the English poet, John Donne, who
was once Dean of St. Paul's Cathedral in
London, and was a metaphorical poet.
He had written, "No man is an island, entire of
itself; every man is a piece of the continent,
a part of the main."

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man
truth with his neighbour: for we are members of
one another.

_______THOUGHT______________
Christians, we are PART of the WHOLE of
mankind.
As such, we are both users and contributors to
the well-being of others.
A visit to the local grocery store will exhibit
that fact.
We purchase that which another produced,
and, we contribute to the maintenance of the
producers.
None of us can say we stand alone, for we
live with the presence of God's Spirit IN us.
And, we are supported in mankind as we
also support mankind.
We are "members of one another!"
WHEREVER we are, let us remember WHOSE
we are and WHY we are.
We are CHRIST's.
Thus we should exhibit the integrity and
character of our Lord.
WHY we are is to:
EVANGELIZE those who are not Christ's,
EDUCATE those who come to Christ, and
EDIFY, or build up, those who belong to
Christ.
As we utilize the production of others, let us
remember to be contributors also.
