Today's Devotion:
"WHO Will STAND in the GAP"
Most people do not understand
GRACE!
Were heaven to be gained by
good deeds or merit, NO ONE
would get there!
Were it not for God LOOKING
and CALLING, man could
NEVER be saved!
But, your dog would!
____SCRIPTURE____
Ezek 22:30
30 And I sought for a man among
them, that should make up the hedge,
and stand in the gap before me for
the land, that I should not destroy it:
but I found none.
KJV
____THOUGHT_____
The whole chapter of Ezek. 22 is an
indictment against Jerusalem.
Sin guiltiness provides the backdrop
for the case of destroying the city.
No people escape the condemnation!
Princes, priests, officials, prophets,
landowners - all spread evil
influence and abuse their power.
Does that sound familiar in today's
world?
God is LOOKING for a man to
"stand in the gap!"
But He finds NONE!!
Sin has invaded the people like a
cancer.
But the people have developed a
shallow view!
The news is slanted to incite gossip
rather than truth.
The leaders are taking advantage of
position and not producing help for
the people.
Even some pastors produce more
hype for their own wealth, and not
real spiritual meat for their followers.
The realization of sin brings with it
the understanding of the judgment
of destruction!
WHO Will STAND in the GAP?
WHO Will SHARE the GOOD NEWS
of Christ Who can CHANGE LIVES?
But, by His Amazing grace, God is
STILL LOOKING!
Will YOU be an INSTRUMENT of
God's GRACE?
Love ya!
