Worry takes away the pleasure
of the now.
What can I do NOW to relieve
the concern about tomorrow?
PRAY!
In another place, Philippians
4:6, the Bible says,
"Be careful for nothing; but in
every thing by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made
known unto God."
The word "careful" in that
verse is from the Greek
merimnao, which means to
be overly anxious.
When we find ourselves
overly concerned about
something tomorrow will
bring; PRAY!
Prayer is more than
REQUESTING, it is
RELEASING!
When Jesus faced the next
day, knowing the horrors of
crucifiction, He PRAYED:
"Father, if Thou be WILLING,
remove this cup from me;
nevertheless not my will, but
Thine be done!" (Lk 22:42)
Today is a gift from God.
Let's use it to be happy.
And, if we are concerned
about an event tomorrow,
RELEASE it to God in prayer!!
