and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

LIGHT from the WORD.
When I look in the mirror, I see a wrinkled, scarred old man.
The wrinkles remind me: I have lived, and am still living.
The scars remind me: I've faced difficulties and overcome.
This is what I am NOW physically.
But what I WANT to be SPIRITUALLY is like Jesus!
I want to be "conformed to" His image. (See Rom. 8:29)
I cannot GET there unless I determine to
"grow in grace, and in the knowledge of" Jesus!
John says (See 1John 3:2) Christians are "NOW the sons of God!"
We are CHILDREN.
Children are to GROW.
A child, wanting to be a doctor, must WORK toward that goal.
He/she must study many years.
Christians:
See what you are NOW;
But GROW to what you want to be!
