"Without TRUTH The World Can't MAKE IT!"
HI!
One of the first episodes of the ANDY GRIFFIN SHOW
was sad but cute.
After the death of his wife, Sheriff Andy Taylor invited his
spinster Aunt Bee to come and live with him and Opie
(his son).
Opie was not pleased to have Aunt Bee there.
He felt like she was trying to replace his mother.
Andy tried to help the situation by inviting Aunt Bee to
accompany them fishin’ and frog catching.
But she failed on both tries.
So Andy invited her to play football with them - another
failure.
Finally, Aunt Bee broke down and talked Andy in to taking
her to the bus station so she could go back home.
Opie heard the conversation, and ran down the stairs.
He said, "We can't let her go, Pa! She NEEDS us!
She can't even catch frogs, take fish off the hook,
or throw a ball. We've got to take CARE of her or she'll
never make it!"

Gen 46:31-34
31 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's
house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him,
My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land
of Canaan, are come unto me;
32 And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to
feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds,
and all that they have.
33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you,
and shall say, What is your occupation?
34 That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle
from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers:
that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is
an abomination unto the Egyptians.

Egyptians thought very little of "shepherds."
But they NEEDED them!
When Joseph told Pharoah of the family's occupation,
Pharoah consented to give them the "Land of Goshen"
which was a plush land for raising cattle and sheep.
Now, that land was separated from the major population.
That would keep Jacob's family apart from the Egyptians.
It also kept Jacob's family protected from the Egyptians.
Let us take heed to this lesson.
Our Lord, Jesus knows us.
He also knows that the world thinks little of us!
But the TRUTH is: the world NEEDS Christians!
Christians have the knowledge of TRUTH.
We have the Lord Jesus, Who is eternal and perfect truth.
We also have His Word which is eternal and perfect truth.
As Christians, we are to live lives that are separate
from the world's actions.
But we are not necessarily to be separate from the people
of the world!
And when we MIX with the people of the world, we are to
share and be helpful so that they might know THE Truth!
YES.
Sometimes we are ignored, belittled, and even persecuted!
Let us be faithful to our Lord!
Study His Word and seek His PRESENCE to guide us!
And let us ALWAYS be witnesses for Him in this world!
Be sure: the world NEEDS TRUTH, especially THE Truth!
People NEED the Lord!
