I remember, at age 40, I had gained some
weight and needed a couple new shirts.
When I went to the clothing store,
suddenly, the meaning of XL CHANGED!

In a recent study, the George Barna research
group showed that 61% of Americans believe
their MAIN PURPOSE is to have a sense of
enjoyment in life.
As you grow in Christ, does the MEANING of
the cross grow LARGER?
Jesus placed Himself under Roman authority,
He even paid TAXES!
He also paid Peter's taxes! (Matt. 17:27)
More than this, Jesus placed Himself under
the WORD of God!
He made it His PRACTICE to:
*PRAY DILIGENTLY (Lk. 6:12);
*ATTEND church REGULARLY (Lk. 4:16).
Jesus' life depicted love and duty to God;
not PERSONAL ENJOYMENT.
The cross symbolizes the epitomy of
FORGIVENESS because of LOVE and DUTY.
As we grow in Christ, the cross should have
MORE meaning.
Development, as a Christian, means to GROW
in likeness to Jesus.
Let the cross in your life depict and exhibit:
*Daily prayer,
*Daily Bible study,
*Church attendance,
*Giving back what God has given you,
*Telling others of God's great salvation.
